Local First is a proud independent business alliance comprising 250+ La Plata County businesses, nonprofit organizations, and passionate community members we call Localists. Together, we work to create a thriving, equitable, and sustainable economy that values people, the planet, and prosperity for everyone across southwest Colorado.

Our membership levels are Business and Non-Profit, and if you don't fall into either of those categories you can still be an Associate member.

This application assesses whether your business or organization aligns with Local First's mission. Please be prepared to answer questions about your business's location, ownership, and day-to-day operations.

Prospective Membership

Before becoming a Local First member, organizations are required to share information such as business location, ownership status, and registration number under the Colorado Secretary of State. Please be prepared to supply this information in the following form.
