Durango 101 - FREE Hospitality Employee Training (Option 1)

Customer facing employees in retail shops and hotels are asked all the time by customers and guests where do we eat and what is there to do? The Durango Business Improvement District (BID) wants to help answer those commonly asked questions by training employees of retail shops and hotels about local fine dining establishments, attractions and more. This is a FREE training, it's super fun and it's a great help to employees at retail businesses and hotels. Participants will get first-hand experience at six amazing local restaurants, who will provide a talk about the business as well as tastes of two to three of their best items. Featured restaurants include The Roost, Seasons Rotisserie and Grill, Perbacoo Cucina Italiana, Mahogany Grille, El Moro Spirits and Tavern, and East By Southwest. Participants will also receive first-hand experience at local attractions, including Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Horsefly History Tours, Honeyville, Durango Hot Springs, Bar D Chuckwagon and James Ranch. Dates/Times REQUIRED - Choose one kickoff session: Wednesday April 9, 12:45 to 4:15 pm OR Thursday April 10, 12:45 to 4:15 pm. Kickoff sessions include a one-hour training from Durango Business Improvement District, tastings at two restaurants, and one tour of an attraction. REQUIRED - Choose one restaurant week session: Tuesday April 15, 2 to 3 pm or Wednesday April 16, 2 to 3 pm. Both days include tastings at 2 restaurants.
