Professional Services Government and Non Profit
Peak Health Alliance brings affordable health insurance coverage and increased access to medical services in the communities we serve. We are Colorado’s only locally-led health insurance purchasing alliance. We’re thrilled to be helping thousands of Coloradans save money on health insurance. In Southwestern Colorado, Local First has been a key partner helping Peak Health Alliance offer affordable insurance options in Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan counties.
We strive to bring affordable health insurance to individuals and businesses in rural Colorado. The key to our success is a collaborative approach that includes local leaders and local healthcare practitioners to develop innovative solutions.
Peak Health Alliance organizes and advocates on behalf of our communities, elevating the power of individuals by speaking with a unified voice. Representing you in negotiations with healthcare leaders and medical practitioners, we build a provider network that best meets your healthcare needs.
Peak Health Alliance was formed in 2019 in Summit County when that county had some of the most expensive health insurance premiums in the country. In the first three years of operations, Peak Health Alliance saved community members in eight rural mountain counties more than $16.1 million.
Those savings were achieved by analyzing health insurance claims data and other publicly available health care cost data pertinent to the communities Peak Health Alliance serves. This analysis became the starting point for conversations between the community and local hospitals, medical professionals, and insurance carriers.
Peak Health Alliance and Elevate Health Plans by Denver Health Medical Plan are partnering again this year to offer affordable health insurance options in nine rural counties.
